PART III

Water Signs in the Heavens

Although many believe that Cetus the sea monster is the one in the celestial skies that is swallowing up Jonah, we can see a two-fold meaning associated with Jonah in the constellation Aquarius in its decan Piscis Australis.  The fish of Piscis Australis can be viewed as Jonah getting swallowed into the mouth of a fish.  This water is over taken Jonah as in a flood, and he is gone straight into the mouth of a whale/fish.  Then when we look at John the Baptist we can associate him with the sign of Aquarius who baptizes the disciple, seen as Pisces Australis, with Living Water.  The baptism of John is a baptism of repentance and then symbolized as the death to sin with a spiritual rebirth in Christ Jesus.  Jonah is also baptized in the waters of both a physical and symbolic death, and reborn or resurrected, ready to do the will of God.  Same as the baptized believer who symbolically dies to self, and is reborn in Christ ready to do the will of God, no longer in opposition to God, like Jonah, but willing to live a new life in Christ/God.  It is a form of discipleship.  These astrological signs therefore can reflect both John the Baptist and Jonah being baptized through symbolic death and rebirth, as well as John baptizing the fish (Christians/New Covenant Church), and Jonah being baptized in the belly of a fish with a symbolic death and rebirth.  Therefore, Aquarius is representative of the Spiritual Rebirth, pouring out the waters of salvation, and Piscis Australis representing the fish of the born-again believer (H. Lehman, 2007)

Helena Lehman refers to the sign of Pisces to represent to types of people (2 fish) tethered to a sea monster, called Cetus in the Zodiac.  These 2 fishes of Pisces are chained by a band to the evil Cetus, trapped and trying to escape by moving in the opposite direction.

I believe these 2 fishes or 2 types of people are:

  • Jews and Gentiles, or
  • Redeemed by the blood of Christ believers and
  • Old covenant law bound Jews/non-Christians.

This scripture gives us a hidden insight into this astrological sign.

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

This signifies that these 2 fish are not wrestling against each other, so much as they are wrestling against spiritual wickedness in high places, which is representative of Cetus here, but also other serpent constellations like Hydra, Draco, and Serpens.  There are other constellations believed to be associated with the serpent or the evil forces.  The Eridanus river, which is associated with Cetus and Aquarius may be depicting why the fish are trying to escape from the band of Cetus.  The Eridanus river, is believed by some to be the river of fire, or the one that leads to judgement and hell.  When we look at the history of the Eridanus river according to small facts and mythology, we get some clues as to its purpose, and how this is connected to Noah and Jonah as well.  In Sanskrit, the Eridanus river is called Srotaswini meaning torrent, stream, or current, and in Greek its associated with the Phaeton river flowing from the waters of Aquarius (constellation guide).  Eridanus is the 6th largest constellation and is located in the Southern Hemisphere.  In a Greek story where it is referred to as Phaeton, it is associated with a rebellious son who eventually brought fire to the earth with his chariot and his disobedience to his father Helios (Sun, ruler of the solar system).  Zeus (typically associated with the King Planet Jupiter) saw what was happening and struck Phaeton with a thunderbolt and Phaeton fell (thrown, cast) into the Eridanus river.

Another story from Eratosthenes associated this celestial river with the Nile river, because it runs South to North.  While Hyginus, a Latin author pointed out the bright star of Canopus in the constellation Carina (which is associated with Eridanus) lay at the end of the river, just like the island Canopus is located at the mouth of the great river the Nile of Egypt.  We see the actual constellation represents a river running north to south.  Because this river goes North to South, we can see a depiction of the thunderbolt casting something down or something falling from above.  And something big and catastrophic.  Today, it is said that the Canopus was mis-interpreted as being a part of the Eridanus when it is associated with the steering oar of the Argo Ship (Ridpath, n.d.)- (Argo ship/Navis is typically associated with Noah’s Ark).

Lastly, the name Eridanus is associated with the Babylonian account of the constellation known as MUL.NUN.KI or the Star of Eridu.  The story associated with this constellation is that Eridu was a sacred Babylonian city to the god called Enki-Ea.  This god was the ruler of the domain of the cosmos of the abyss.

How does this relate to Jonah and the whale, and Noah and the ark?  Well, without trying to reach way to far, I will show you that this reference to the 2 fish of Pisces being bound to the Sea monster Cetus (Satan is the monster of the sea-the temporary prince of the world-the ruler of the watery depths and watery skies of earth), which I stated as a reference to both Jew/Gentile nations (believers/non-believers), is also associated with the two men Noah and Jonah in the depiction of how they relate to us today.

Noah’s generation was judged by a flood of condemning water, and Jonah was judged and flooded by a sea of water where he found himself in the depths of the earth.  Noah found favor from God through obedience and was filled with His Holy Spirit (the Christian) and Jonah found grace and mercy from the law (the non-converted Jew/non-believer).  Both the fish are swimming in 2 different directions, but both away from the Sea Monster.  Both fish are escaping the flood of judgement.  One fish is headed towards the constellation Andromeda (the chained church/bride) and one is headed towards Aquarius, Pegasus.  The one headed to Aquarius is entrapped right before they reach it.  This may represent the ones headed to the New age without the Savior (and in some cases with pharisitical/zealous religion, BUT without the true Savior).  But we see Pegasus right there redeeming the others who followed the man carrying the jug of water.  This sign may represent Jonah who after leading the Ninevites to repentance was depressed and wanted to die because he hated to bring them grace and salvation, and he hated to see them come to repentance.  This may be the entrapment of the old man in the last generation, that tries to trap us and keep us from the mercy and grace of God, and the salvation when Christ comes to redeem on the White Horse of Pegasus.  Jonah’s story ends abruptly and with him being miserable.  Ironically, it ends without the closure we typically seek in a good story.

Where Does the Eridanus River Come into Play in the End of Time?

The Eridanus river is the river that goes into Aquarius, and maybe because it is there to take those who will not be redeemed when the Age of Aquarius dawns and they are not in the number of the saved.  MEANING, they are not counted as the ones who will meet the man with the water jug, but they will be entering the new age without the covering of Christ, and therefore, be ensnared into the judgement where the earth will actually be judged and consumed by fire.

Then some of the…Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher we want to see a sign from you.” But He…said to them, “An evil…generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given…except the sign of the prophet Jonah.  For as Jonah was 3 days and 3 nights in…the great fish, so will the Son of Man be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth.  The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of John.”

Is this the fish that represents Jonah?  If we look at the text in its literal form than we can gleam the truth.  Jesus told them that their generation (specifically/literally) was wicked and perverse because they did not believe He was the Messiah even though they had been taught about Him and taught others the Holy Scriptures that foretold of His coming.  Furthermore, it was literally in their time that Jesus was in the heart of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights.  It was this Pharisitic (hey, that rhymes with parasitic) and priestly generation that had the word of God, but did not live it, they only proclaimed it, judged others by it, and did not understand the God of love, mercy, and grace.  They held others to a law, that they themselves broke and even added to the law in an effort towards their own self-gain.  And the literal story in other texts reveals that Jesus went into the heart of the earth, preached the gospel of salvation to those who were stuck in Hades/Tartarus, and redeemed them.  This includes the prophets and patriarchs of old who were in a part of the inner earth awaiting their redemption out of there to a heavenly home.  These people included Adam, Abraham, and even the thief on the cross, and I believe the Ninevites that Jesus referred to, who had repented and escaped ETERNAL condemnation were among these redeemed from inner earth.  This scripture refers FIRST to the very literal interpretation before we venture into the allegorical, spiritually symbolic truths, that we can learn from today.

Eridanus River Revelation Cont’d

The last aspect of this story of Jonah with the fish of Pisces I will acknowledge is something hidden even deeper.  However, it is GOOD NEWS!  When we examine Eridanus river in accordance with today’s cosmology, we are told that this river is associated with Piscis Australis (constellation-guide.com)!  How?  Well if we follow the trail of stars there is a part that trails off not just to Aquarius where it seems to be cut off as we discussed previously, and another part that drops off furthest south called Achernar, but there is a 3rd part of this river that ventures over through Fornax constellation, through the Sculptor constellation and right into the constellation of Aquarius waters where the bright star of Fomalhaut is, in Piscis Austrinus.  Is this secret and narrow path to a few who find it (Matthew 7:14)?  While I do not see the stars actually connect, I am hopeful that because it is in the waters of Aquarius, it is a hopeful clue to the possibility of a remnant making it through hell and high waters.  This possibility in the grave and fiery waters of Eridanus may be another clue to there being a way made for a few who find it in the midst of the trials.  It could also refer to the few who are saved after the rapture, when the Holy Spirit is removed (144,000, or the ones left behind who will barely make it, or both perhaps?)

Decoding an Encrypted Biblical Message on the Eridanus River:  Found in Isaiah 11
While questioning this possibility of a 2nd rapture found in Eridanus I came across this scripture the same day of this intense research.

Isaiah 11:9-16

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of IsraelAnd gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Also, the envy of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall no harass Ephraim.

But they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west; together they shall plunder the people of the East; They shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab; and the people of Ammon shall obey them.

The Lord will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt with His mighty wind He will shake His fist over the River, and strike it in the seven streams, and make men cross over dry-shod.

There will be a highway for the remnant of His people who will be left rom Assyria, as it was for Israel in the day that he came up from the land of Egypt.

This message is multifaceted for sure.  In the beginning of Isaiah 11 the bible is talking about the root of Jesse who is Jesus Christ. While it is describing things about Jesus coming and so on, there is an encrypted message that ties us directly to Eridanus River.  Again, I reiterate these scriptures because I wouldn’t want anyone to misunderstand that these scriptures are saying more than what meets the eye, while also stating a very literal truth about the coming Messiah and redemptions plan, etc.

Without further delay, the Eridanus River is also a part of the water constellations that are throughout the zodiac.  As being the 6th largest constellation in the evening sky according to constellation-guide; it can be associated as a sea of waters that cover, due to its wide-spreading.  It is also associated with the waters of Aquarius, making a connection that is further needed from what the scriptures may be revealing.

And in that day, there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

In that day, the root of Jesse will be the Savior Jesus Christ, a sign of the people, and the world will seek after this sign; this Savior.  But because this scripture is prefixing what I have interpreted as the Eridanus River Constellations pathway to a “way of escape” (1 Corinthians 10:13), I highlight this, to point to the sign of Christ that will be sought after the 1st rapture.  It is also the ensign pointing the remainder of the world to a way out and into God’s kingdom after God removes His presence from the earth.

In this day after the 1st rapture the Lord will set his hand a 2nd time to rapture or recover a remnant of his people.  These people that shall be left, come from 7 different places listed.  All of these places are associated with evil in the Bible and in the end times.  They are opposing nations to God.

Scientific Facts for Reference Regarding the Eridanus River

In the constellation of Eridanus River, there are said to be 7 stars with known planets!  In the scripture, Isaiah 11:11, there is listed 7 different nations that God will be coming back for.  Afterwards it says, “and from the islands of the sea.”  This is either a direct reference to the 7 stars in the sea of Eridanus River or it could be referencing the 7 stars with their islands (planets) in the sea of Eridanus, the largest water constellation.

It is important to note here that according to Wikipedia, at the southern end of Eridanus is a star called Achernar, designated Alpha Eridani.  It is 144 LIGHT YEARS from Earth, it is blue-white hued, and traditionally means “the rivers end”.  This is amazing!  This tells me that the 144,000 in Revelation are the ones who are left here and will be taken in the 2nd rapture.  I am not clear on whether they are the only ones who will be raptured, but it is very well possible considering the majority of Gods people will be taken in the 1st rapture.  In Wikipedia, several historical and religious views of this number are shared.  One perspective is that the 144,000 are converted Jewish evangelists sent out to bring others (Gentiles/the world) to Christ during the 7-year tribulation, and another believes they’re literal numbers that represent people of Israel whom God uses with a superior destiny to serve in the end of the world.  Revelations 7 and 14, both speak of this 144,000 and Revelation 7 seems as though these people come after the Great Multitudes of people who were already raptured to heaven, while Revelation 14, almost seems to say they are before the others.  Either it is interchangeable or we must have more clarity on exactly what it is saying about whether they go first or second.  Both do say that they must be sealed before this great destruction is coming on the world.

He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel.  And gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

This scripture lets us know that the outcasts of Israel will be assembled together from all over the world.  The Eridanus River may be the banner for the nations during this time, a banner to those who have eyes to see it, as it signifies the way made out of no way to escape the remainder of the coming judgement; a way out of the sea of fiery judgement.

Ephraim and Judah represent Israel and Jerusalem; however, they also represent the 2 fish in Pisces who are trying to escape the Cetus sea monster who is in the Eridanus River (Sea).  One is headed to Aquarius and cut off, and the other headed upward towards the chained woman Andromeda, and headed to Cassiopeia.  These two will no longer be headed in different directions, at odds, waring against each other, but they will come together.  There are some zodiacal biblical interpretations that believe the two fish are Ephraim and Judah or Jew and Gentile nations.  These are really one and the same, representing people who will be delivered from all over the world, as well as old testament and new testament saints.

The Lord will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt with His mighty wind He will shake His fist over the River, and strike it in the seven streams, and make men cross over dry-shod.

Because the Eridanus river was associated with the Nile River of Egypt, I believe it is safe to associate this river with the Lords destruction of the Eridanus River.  And why not?  Its mythological history is associated with a darkness and evil.  Furthermore, it reveals that the Lord will strike its 7 streams!

There will be a highway for the remnant of His people who will be left rom Assyria, as it was for Israel in the day that he came up from the land of Egypt.

When I was examining the Eridanus River I noticed a path attached to Cetus, which is in the Eridanus River (Sea) and it showed the fish of Pisces on the back of the Cetus trying to escape only to be ensnared and bound again right before it reached the salvation of the Holy Spirit in Aquarius.  Then the Eridanus River went straight south into the Archenar star with no other path to salvation.

But there was a path through the Fornax, that seemed to go like a road on the equatorial region of the sky straight to Aquarius.  However, it almost touched the Piscis Austrinus.  It did however, go through the floods of Aquarius, and that is where the rapture happens for these 144,000 or so.  Because right after it goes through, looking as if it is headed to Piscis Austrinus into the fish’s mouth, it turns and cascades downward.  This is the HIGHWAY FOR THE REMNANT of His people who will be left from Assyria or Archenar the Eridanus star that is 144 light years away.  The water of Gods Holy Spirit will reach down into the depths of the world and rescue these remaining people from the 7 stars (or nations) including their islands (or planets).

Jonah made it out of the depths of the sea, the belly of a whale, and out of the bowels of the earth alive.  Let’s look carefully at how Jonah’s story ended, and we may see this last and hidden hope for a remnant of people in the Great City (type of Babylon).

And his story ended like this:

“…I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity.

Now Lord, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live.”

But the Lord replied, “Is it right for you to be angry?”

Jonah had gone out and sat down at a place east of the city.  There he made himself a shelter, sat in its shade and waited to see what would happen to the city.
Then the Lord God provided a leafy plant and made it grow up over Jonah to give shade for his head to ease his discomfort, and Jonah was very happy about the plant.

But at dawn the next day God provided a worm, which chewed the plant so that it withered.

When the sun rose, God provided a scorching east wind, and the sun blazed on Jonah’s head so that he grew faint.  He wanted to die, and said, “It would be better for me to die than to live.”

…………And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh….?” Jonah 4:2-9; 11

Jonah was angry, he wished to die, and he wasn’t very pleased with the mercy God had shown to the undeserving.  In the end, God showed him compassion in spite of Jonah’s anger towards God.  In the end, God spared Jonah’s life even though he wished to die, and we do not see God letting Jonah die in his anger or bitterness.  Jonah is saved in spite of the fact that he was going back to the old self, or relenting his decision to take the higher road.  God did not change his mind about Jonah and smite him, he just told Him of his compassion to the sinners and the lost, and spared Jonah as well.  In the last days, many will wish to die (Revelation 9:6), and many will repent for being angry with God when they realize how much he loves them (Acts 3:19).  Many will wake up and even those who were saved but chose to go back to the old self, will find a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13).  This last scripture I will share is a depiction of something happening in the zodiac, but I will use it here because I believe it is also applicable to this “way of escape” for a remnant (possibly after the rapture) in where God is showing us in a heavenly depiction how he will save this remaining people out of the reach of the serpent’s grasp.  Let us keep in mind that many scriptures reference different sides of the same truth.

The woman was given the 2 wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpents reach. (Revelation 12:14).
